ENNISKILLEN ROYAL GRAMMAR SCHOOL
One Health: the link between animal, human and plant health
All team members are part of family farms and have a keen interest in the agri-food industry. They will be leveraging the opportunity to grow their knowledge of managing soil health and animal nutrition and how these factors can have a positive impact on the shared environment by reducing emissions.
LECALE TRINITY GRAMMAR SCHOOL
Raising standards of animal welfare
This team will be using their experience as finalists producing beef in a way that goes hand-in-hand with their GCSE studies. They will promote the benefits and importance of animal welfare standards for all parts of the beef supply chain from farm to fork.
MARKETHILL HIGH SCHOOL
Food Provenance: Do you know what you eat?
This theme complements the team’s GCSE studies in food & nutrition. They will be delving into the farm to fork journey of Aberdeen Angus Beef and sharing the benefits of this breed for producers, consumers and the environment.
ST. JOSEPH’S CROSSMAGLEN
Sustainable Beef Consumption and the Young Consumer
This duo will be bringing to life the exciting taste and nutritional benefits of Aberdeen Angus beef in a way that captures the imagination of a younger consumer demographic.
